. 2006 Subaru Legacy. 75,000 miles. $8,800
The title is clean. The carfax looked pretty good. Ultimately I didn’t buy it for a couple reasons. 1: my ego wouldn’t let me drive a 10 year old car. 2:It’s located over 2 hours away from where my parents lived, and my mom needed to catch a flight on the same day we bought a car. 3: the price was higher 2 weeks ago when I was car shopping. I watched Mighty Car Mods for about 3 hours last night and it made me wanna look for subarus.
But I’m not gonna ask for my money back because I’m driving this Mazda 3. The more I drive it, the more i’m loving it.

Funny, my ego won’t let me drive anything newer than 10 years.

As a resident of the South, I do a double take EVERY time I see a Subie sedan (non-WRX). I see 20-30 Subarus a day, but maybe a sedan version once every 6 months. They look pretty nice. For sedans.

Your reasons made me question your Jalopness a little. Probably would have never made the choice you did but hey, I also own a GT, so I’m biased. Good luck with it!

Agreed. I’ve never bought a car that
young
, nor have I ever wanted to.

My buddy’s 09 2.5(?) blew his HG after 91k miles. AC stopped workimg at 60k, among other things... clutch failed at 75k. I think he got royally screwed at whatever dealership he went to (bought used).

Yep, normal Subie issues, unfortunately. AC is odd that early, but the rest is typical mileage.

I think it was just a lemon, plus that particular gen of Legacy. It was worth only 4.5k as a trade-in when he got rid of it. On a 5 year old car at the time!
